Mozart Group (beginner level)
Description
This course is designed for beginner students, ages 5-8, who have played the violin for up to 1 year. We focus on motivating and encouraging our very young students to showcase their abilities in a group setting while they learn the fundaments of violin technique, posture, balance, rhythm and ear training in a fun and educational environment. In addition we work on songs relevant to the level and preparing the children for the Christmas concert.
– Classes are in-person and they are in-addition to private lessons
– Parents are recommended to be present during the class and help their children with their postures
Vivaldi Group (advanced beginner level)
Description
This course is designed for more advanced beginner students who are able to read music notation at a beginner level. We focus on improving listening, fundaments of violin technique, rhythm, posture, balance, scales and arpeggios of the RCM technique book Level Prep and 1. In addition we work on songs relevant to the level and preparing the children for the Christmas concert.

Bach Group (RCM Level 1-3 – currently combined with the violin ensemble)
Description
This course is designed for students who have finished the Suzuki Book 1. We focus on preparing students for their RCM exams by focusing on the technical aspects of the violin, the posture, etudes, and also pieces from level 1 -3 of the RCM repertoire. Students are usually not motivated to learn the technical aspects of the violin even though the technical aspects are the most important aspects of playing the violin. In this class, we will work on the technical parts in an encouraging and motivating environment.
– Classes are in-person and they are in-addition to private lessons
– Parents who have proof of vaccination are welcome to be present in the class.
